NRL Teams

While NRL history is hardly extensive, there have been a few changes in the roster of teams playing in the league since it began. Today, the NRL Telstra Premiership is fought for between 16 NRL teams. The existing clubs competing for the NRL Premiership are:

Brisbane Broncos, Canberra Raiders, Canterbury Bulldogs, Cronulla Sharks, Gold Coast Titans, Manly Sea Eagles, Melbourne Storm, Newcastle Knights, New Zealand Warriors, North Queensland Cowboys, Parramatta Eels, Penrith Panthers, South Sydney Rabbitohs, St George Illawarra Dragons, Sydney Roosters, and Wests Tigers.

NRL Competition

The NRL premiership season runs from early March, with a short series of trial matches, right through to the first week of October with the Grand Final event, every year. Winter is the favourite time of year for NRL buffs and bettors all over the nation, who are keen to get behind their team and show off their NRL knowledge with wager-winning predictions!

Standard Season -

The NRL’s standard or regular season is composed of 26 rounds, one round per week with eight games per round, with team match ups decided in advance via the NRL draw. 8 Matches are usually held each week, with 2 on Friday, 3 on Saturday, 2 on Sunday and 1 on Monday night.

An exception to this game format is around State of Origin time, when split rounds are held either side of the tournament.
