Match 2 –Sydney Roosters v Brisbane Broncos

For the first time this season Brisbane will start as the long-priced underdogs this Friday night, worn and weary after two massive defeats by the Raiders and the Warriors in the last two rounds.

Last week’s loss also saw a number of the Broncos’ best boys out with injury, namely Israel Folau and Denan Kemp, and with their skills coach embarrassingly stood down this week following his drink driving charge, Brisbane have a lot going against them this round.

The Roosters also suffered embarrassment last week, when they were thrashed 60 – 14 by a brilliant Bulldogs, but with the home ground advantage here and a bruised ego looking to be healed, the Chooks look the pick here especially with Carney and Mininchello keen to act defensively.

Current Head-to-Head Odds: Roosters $1.36 – Broncos $3.15
