Round 5 – Match 2: Gold Coast Titans v Melbourne Storm

In the second match on Friday night the Titans face the only team with four wins to their name this year, Melbourne.

Despite their impressive home ground record at Skilled Park, this week the Gold Coast look like they may suffer their second loss of the season after they were beaten for the first time in 2010 at the hands of Cowboys last week.

The Titans started well against the Cowboys in Townsville last week, but it didn’t last long as they lost momentum in the second half and this is something they absolutely cannot afford to do when playing a team as professional as the Storm.

Melbourne have shown they can travel and win away this season, claiming their first three victories of the year as the visitors and so look set to secure their fifth win in as many rounds this week against the Gold Coast, still desperately missing Scott Prince and the strength his kicking game brings to their team.

But home crowd cheers can work wonders and so even though Storm look the pick, the margin won’t be as devastating to the Gold Coast as many are predicting.

Current Head-to-Head Odds: Titans $2.60 – Storm $1.50
