Round 6 – Match 2 Preview: Wests Tigers v Canterbury Bulldogs

The in-form Tigers claimed their fourth season victory last week when they beat the Cowboys at Dairy Farmer Stadium in impressive style.

With the home ground advantage this week playing the Bulldogs at Sydney Football Stadium, Wests are very hard to go past which is why they are the odds-on favourite currently at $1.70 for a win with

The Bulldogs on the other hand suffered a round five defeat when the Warriors handed them their fourth loss for 2010.

Playing very impressive footy this year, the Tigers have definitely been bringing their A-game with solid plays and good passing of the ball.

Canterbury, however, did manage to thrash the Roosters in their only win this season and there is always the threat that with the return of Hickey they could do the same again.

Also, the Tigers squad has been marred with injury following their tough match against the Cowboys and may be feeling a bit worn and weary so this is something to keep in mind.

A big blow was that Wests’ halfback Tim Moltzen will be out for the rest of the season after his horrific injury to his left knee, and the Tigers will also be without Todd Payton and Keith Galloway on Friday night.

But the Tigers have been far more consistent than the Bulldogs this year and so the threat Canterbury bring looks less imposing than many are hyping up, so we are sticking with the home team here despite their injuries hoping they will prove their premiership contention and rise above.

Current Head-to-Head Odds: Tigers $1.70 – Bulldogs $2.20
