Round 6 – Match 5 Preview: Brisbane Broncos v Cronulla Sharks

This will be a very telling match for the struggling Broncos who have had a devastating start to the season losing four from five matches.

Is this week their week to return to form? Can they secure a home ground win and earn back their fans? Will the return of Israel Folau be enough to lift them from their slump? There are many questions being asked of Brisbane at the moment and all will be answered on Sunday afternoon when they play the Sharks at Suncorp Stadium.

The Sharks too have been very disappointing in 2010 having secured just one win, and were well beaten last week by the Sea Eagles 40 – 12.

And, although Brisbane were defeated by the Dragons last round, they did show a lot of improvement from previous weeks.

The bookies think that Brisbane will be the ones to beat this round, with Ladbrokes.com.au installing them as the $1.36 favourites and with the return of some well needed troops namely Israel Folau and Jharal Yow Yeh, the Broncos look set to notch their second season win.

Corey Parker is also looking like making an early re-appearance after his knee injury as are utility Ben Te’o and winger Antonio Winterstein, the last two missing the Dragons’ game following disciplinary action, which will further strengthen Brisbane’s confidence and give them more chances to score those much needed points.

Current Head-to-Head Odds: Broncos $1.36 – Sharks $3.25 Ladbrokes.com.au
