Round 6 – Match 8 Preview: Melbourne Storm v Manly Sea Ealges

Back at home this week at Etihad Stadium, Melbourne are sure to be fired up and ready to reclaim their dominance in the NRL after their shock loss to the Titans last week up in Queensland.

With their Round 5 wake-up call the Storm will be even more determined to keep their footy methodical and disciplined and facing the Eagles will be a much easier task than when they hosted the Dragons at their only other home game this season.

The Sea Eagles have had three wins this year including their smashing of the Sharks last round, but they are the visitors here and defeating the team at the bottom of the ladder is a far cry from winning against the reigning premiers.

Manly’s final match from the 2009 premiership was against Melbourne in September when they were thrashed 40 – 12, so it is easy to see why Melbourne are installed as the clear favourites at $1.43 with for Monday’s match.

Even though Manly have been mentally and physically tough this year they are without Brent Kite this round out after a ban for a high tackle charge, and punters tipping against Melbourne at home do so at their own risk!

Current Head-to-Head Odds: Storm $1.43 – Eagles $2.90
