In another strange twist in the Melbourne Storm salary cap scandal, leading online bookmaker Ladbrokes.com.au have extended a sympathetic hand out to the Melbourne players by offering to pay for the laser removal of their premiership tattoos.

Many of the Melbourne Storm players who played and won in the 2007 and 2009 Grand Final sides got commemorative tattoos celebrating their victories, now permanent reminders of premierships which have now been erased from the record books.

But after a deceitful and devastating salary cap rort has surfaced, the Storm has since been stripped of not only their pride but officially of the premiership wins too.

“Some of the tattoos are pretty decent in size and some players may now regret putting the tattoo pen to skin,” said Sportsbet.com.au’s Haydn Lane.

“They say a clean break is always best and we’re happy to chip in if it helps these players erase this episode from their memories and get on with their careers.”

The offer from Ladbrokes.com.au highlights the fact that many of the players were unaware of the salary cap breaches going on in their club and have been just as gutted by the revelations as their rival teams and angered fans.
