NRL Round 7 – Match 1 Preview: Canterbury Bulldogs v Brisbane Broncos

Friday night kicks off with a great match at ANZ Stadium where two teams coming off impressive Round 6 wins face off, the Bulldogs and the Broncos.

Last week the Bulldogs claimed a surprise 20-point win ahead of the Tigers while Brisbane gave Cronulla a big 44 – 16 beating.

With both teams rising above their earlier poor form, this looks a good showdown.

The bookies, however, think the Broncos have little to bring to the table installing them at the long odds of $3 while the Bulldogs are at $1.40 for a win with

Brisbane have struggled this season playing away from home, so a trip to Sydney won’t work in their favour and there is talk of tension amongst the ranks as their incredibly talented playmaker Israel Folau, recently back from injury, is in talks of walking away from the Broncos for an AFL career.

Despite having lost three from five this year, Canterbury has defeated two of the most popular teams in the Tigers and the Roosters and will be brimming with confidence after last week.

Brisbane has shown recent improvement, but not enough to beat the Bulldogs at home in our opinion, so we will tip the home team.

Current Head-to-Head Odds: Bulldogs $1.40 – Broncos $3
