NRL Round 7 – Match 2 Preview: North Queensland Cowboys v Parramatta Eels

The Eels are one of the club’s most affected by the shocking Melbourne Cup salary breach, as they were cheated out of the premiership win last year. With this news running fresh in their minds, Parramatta will be fired up and ready to fight.

Many are backing a new found form and confidence to help the Eels coast to victory on Friday night, after they finally broke their dismal three-match losing streak last round taking out the Rabbitohs.

However, whether it was a one-match-wonder for Nathan Hindmarshs’ record breaking game or if the Eels really have turned things around will be found out this match.

Despite their excellent home ground record up at Townsville, the Cowboys look in trouble here after their 36 – 18 loss to the Knights last week.

They do have Willie Mason back in the lineup but are still without a number of injured stars including JT and they may get in one or two tries to excite the home crowd, but in the end it will be Parramatta with the most points.

But there are plenty of punters and Rugby League experts jumping on the Cowboys juicy $2.85 odds as the Eels are yet to prove themselves this season and the Dairy Farmers Stadium has been the graveyard for better teams.

Current Head-to-Head Odds: Cowboys $2.85 – Eels $1.42
