NRL Round 7 – Match 4 Preview: Cronulla Sharks v Newcastle Knights

Well life in the NRL doesn’t get any easier for the inauspicious Sharks this week, who have been saved from the Wooden Spoon only because of the Storm salary cap rort and the subsequent stripping of Melbourne’s 2010 competition points.

Cronulla are the only team to have claimed just one victory for 2010 and they don’t look in any position to win another one as they face Newcastle on Saturday.

The Knights played some hard footy when they defeated the injury-marred Cowboys last week and in our opinion have been unlucky to come away with only two wins from six so far this season.

Newcastle has a really solid squad and huge point scoring potential in speedy players like Cooper Vuna.

The Sharks have the home ground advantage playing at Toyota Stadium, but it is likely to make little difference as they have lost two of their three home games this year.

Surprisingly there is still a little bit of value in the Knights, currently paying $1.52 for a win with and we would jump on these odds before match day as Newcastle are sure to shorten.

Current Head-to-Head Odds: Sharks $2.60 – Knights $1.52
