NRL Round 8 – Match 2 Preview: Parramatta Eels v Canterbury Bulldogs

The second game on Friday night is another great match-up as the two teams who were the pre-season fancies for the premiership grand final this year face off after a less than ideal start to the season.

Both the Eels and the Bulldogs have recently fought their way back from a very tough early season and this game will go a long way in determining which of the two stand a chance at the finals this year.

Parramatta and Canterbury are both coming into this match on the back of their first two successive wins of the year after the Eels defeated the Cowboys last week and the Doggies got over the Broncos.

But the Bulldogs have some key players out with injury this week and without winger Josh Morris (eye socket), prop Ben Hannant (knee) or Ben Roberts they look very weak, which is sad considering they had just started to play some good footy.

And this week the Eels also have the home ground advantage as the play at ANZ Stadium, making them look even more likely of securing their third consecutive win.

The bookies think so too and have them installed as the $1.46 favourites, confident that players like Timana Tahu and Krisnan Inu have finally found form this year and will lead Parra to victory.

Current Head-to-Head Odds: Eels $1.46 – Bulldogs $2.75
