NRL Round 8 – Match 4 Preview: Gold Coast Titans v Penrith Panthers

This Skilled Park showdown is one of the most anticipated matches of Round 8 as two of the top NRL teams of the season face off in a blockbuster game not to be missed.

Both the Titans and the Panthers have five wins to their name this season, beaten in competition points only by the Dragons, so it will be interesting to see who comes away on top here.

Although the Gold Coast have been winning consistently, they have been some very tight matches including last week’s 24 -24 win against the Sea Eagles, and even though they were triumphant in Rounds 1 – 3, they haven’t been able to win two in a row since then which isn’t a good record going into this game.

Penrith, on the other hand, are looking at their fifth straight win after some very impressive victories over the last four rounds. The Panthers have taken out some big teams including the Tigers and the Roosters.

This week the Titans have the home ground advantage and their record at Skilled Park is an impressive one, which is why they have been installed as the $1.75 favourites with

We are sticking with the Gold Coast because of this home ground advantage and because Scott Prince looks set to make his return, but it will be a close one and they will have to be spot on with their defence especially against Penrith players like Petero Civoniceva.

Current Head-to-Head Odds: Titans $1.75 – Panthers $2.10
