NRL Round 8 – Match 6 Preview: St George Illawarra Dragons v Cronulla Sharks

There is little to say about the last game on Saturday as the team at the top of the NRL ladder, the impressive and professional Dragons, host the struggling Sharks at WIN Stadium.

The Dragons and the Sharks are at opposite ends of the spectrum and this game will provide little competition for St George, who have been dominating in both defence and attack, and they should easily coast to their seventh win of the season, their fourth successively.

Cronulla have won just two games this year, including their shock defeat of the Knights last week. The Sharks showed great attitude when they handed the Knights a 20 point loss, but the level of competition this week and the fact they are playing away from home are why they are the very long priced underdogs currently at $5.25 with

The Dragons came out of last Sunday’s classic ANZAC day clash against the Roosters victorious and with a squad full of talent such as freak tryscorer Brett Morris and Matt Cooper, who were super impressive in Round 7, they are the obvious pick this round as well.

Cronulla will be hard pressed even getting a four-pointer down is our guess as the Dragons will give them no opportunities.

Current Head-to-Head Odds: Dragons $1.17 – Sharks $5.25
