2010 NRL Telstra Premiership Round 8 Results & Wrap Up

The last round of the 2010 NRL Telstra Premiership before teams begin their byes went down over the weekend with eight intense matches separating the best from the rest in the world of Rugby League.

There were plenty of big wins again this week including the Melbourne Storm’s 34 – 6 thrashing of the North Queensland Cowboys, who are still struggling badly with injuries.

But the largest winning margin went to the team dominating the NRL at the moment, the St George Illawarra Dragons, when they absolutely demolished the Cronulla Sharks 38 to nil.

And the surprise wins of the round went to the Canberra Raiders and the Sydney Roosters, both teams playing and winning away from home as the underdogs. Canberra managed to beat the New Zealand Warriors in Auckland while the Roosters claimed a tight victory ahead of the Wests Tigers at Campbelltown.
