2010 NRL Round 9 Match & Betting Previews

We are now two months into the 2010 NRL Telstra Premiership and the start of the byes and the representative season is now in order.

Around this time of the season things start to get very interesting, as many of the teams who have dominated in the early rounds must work doubly as hard to win matches over the next couple of months as so many of their star players move to play in their respective representative games.

This is why it is so important for teams to get a good start early on and one team that have done just that is the St George Illawarra Dragons.

With representative footy set to ravage this mighty team, they still have little to fear as they sit firmly at the top of the NRL Ladder after winning seven from eight so far including their 38 – 0 thrashing of the Sharks last round.

On Saturday night the red hot Dragons will play the Manly Sea Eagles at Brookvale Oval, which should be an intense game.

Eight teams have their byes this week, many that will be eager for the rest after big Round 8 losses including the Sharks and the New Zealand Warriors, the Warriors going down 16 – 23 to the Raiders.

The other teams with a bye this round are: Penrith Panthers, South Sydney Rabbitohs, Parramatta Eels, Wests Tigers, Canterbury Bulldogs and Canberra Raiders.

And of course on Friday night NRL fans are treated to two of the most anticipated matches of the season, the Australia v New Zealand and Country v City matches.

Below are previews on the four Telstra Premiership matches and the two representative games set to play out this weekend.

Don’t forget, representative footy provides some of the best betting opportunities and Ladbrokes.com.au have the most lucrative odds when it comes to betting on the Rugby League.
