NRL Round 13 – Match 8 Preview: Rabbitohs v Cowboys

Monday night’s match will be a tough one for the low ranking Cowboys as they travel down to play the red hot Rabbitohs at ANZ Stadium.

After a massive 42 – 22 victory ahead of Penrith last week, South Sydney are now just one spot outside of the top four and will be keen to keep rising up those ranks despite their erratic season.

North Queensland on the other hand are still well down the ladder in number 14 after another loss last week. Despite a big second half surge the Cowboys were unable to win at home against the Sea Eagles and were seething afterwards.

A positive for the Cowboys is that despite Johnathan Thurston mouthing off at the ref after he didn’t call a forward pass, their star playmaker was found not guilty of the charge and is free to play.

Even with JT it still doesn’t look good for the visitors on Monday though, and have them as the long priced $2.85 underdogs while the Rabbitohs are at $1.44 for a win.

Souths are fit, physical and competitive and should win this easily especially if Rhys Wesser, Chris Sandown, John Sutton and Issac Luke have the same standout game they did last week.

Current Head-to-Head Odds: Rabbitohs $1.44 – Cowboys $1.44
