2010 NRL Telstra Premiership Round 14 Results & Wrap Up

Round 14 saw five excellent NRL matches play out as the 10 teams without a bye toughed it out in the absence of their Origin stars, continuing to make their move towards the finals.

The weekend of footy kicked off on Friday night with the Gold Coast Titans scoring a comprehensive 28 – 14 win ahead of the fading Sea Eagles, boosting them into the fourth spot on the ladder.

The action remained in Queensland for the next game, when the Cowboys hosted the Raiders at Townsville and secured a surprise 16 – 8 victory on Saturday night.

Sunday afternoon two top matches were decided. In the first the New Zealand Warriors travelled to Energy Australia Stadium and were able to upstages the locals, beating the Knights 32 – 14.

Then back in the Sunshine State, the depth of the Broncos was made clear when they became the first team to secure five successive wins this season, outclassing a listless Rabbitohs 50 – 22.

In the final game of Round 14, the Melbourne Storm suffered a thrashing when the ‘good’ Roosters showed up at AAMI Park and handed Melbourne a 38 – 6 hiding.
