2010 NRL Round 17 Match & Betting Previews

Rugby League betting fans have five top-class showdowns to look forward to this weekend as we move into Round 17 of the 2010 NRL Telstra Premiership.

Round 17 is another split round due to the third and final State of Origin battle taking place next Wednesday night at ANZ Stadium, when the Maroons will attempt to make it a clean sweep in the series this year after they secured their record fifth consecutive victory with a big win last month.

Things kick off on Friday night with the in-form Broncos hosting the No. 3 team on the ladder, the Wests Tigers, which should be an absolute beauty that really tests the depths of the Brisbane boys.

Other top matches this week include the Roosters travelling to Canberra to take on the Raiders, and the most anticipated game of the round on Monday night when the first and second teams on the ladder face off, the Dragons hosting the Panthers.

Six teams have a bye this week: Manly, Storm, Cowboys, Titans, Knights and the Rabbitohs who were rocked this week when their star hooker Issac Luke dislocated his shoulder in training.
