NRL Round 20 – Match 7 Preview & Footy Tips: Manly Sea Eagles v Wests Tigers

Sunday footy continues with another top match that has the Sea Eagles playing the high-ranking Tigers at Bluetongue Stadium on the central coast.

Manly are back in the top eight after their big 48 – 18 win ahead of the Sharks last week and will be looking to make it two on the trot to further secure their place in the race for the finals.

Needing just three wins from the last seven Manly look a good bet to ‘Make the Top 8’ through

Wests Tigers have performed consistently well over the last few months, winning seven of their past eight games and earning their spot in the top three. They are looking good to remain in the four best teams at the end of the season if they keep it up.

This is one of the tougher games to pick with both teams coming off a win and the venue adding a bit of spice, but it is the Sea Eagles who are the current $1.53 favourites at

These two faced off in the opening round of the season in a thrilling clash, and the Tigers were able to win by four points. In even better form and with the added confidence their recent results will have given them, Wests look good to do it again for us.

The Tigers will start as the underdogs and have them at the generous odds of $2.50 for a win, making them an attractive choice for punters seeking an upset result to cash in on.

Wests have plenty of points in them with Lote Tuqiri putting in his best match of the season last week, Benji Marshall giving us his old magic and Ellis likely to return, so our bet is on them.

A blockbuster clash brimming with intensity, but the Tigers want that spot in the finals after they made their last appearance way back in 2005 so they won’t want to lose this one.

Footy Tip of the Match – Manly / Tigers in the Halftime / Fulltime Double at $7.50 through

NRLleague Footy Tip of the Match:

The Sea Eagles took full advantage of Cronulla’s poor defence last week flying to a 38 – 0 lead by the break, so expect them to get off to another good start here. On the other hand, the Tigers were slower out of the gates against the Cowboys last week but fought back to win. Based on this, we think that Manly will lead at halftime but the Tigers will secure victory in the end and are betting on this Halftime/Fulltime result at $7.50 through

Current Head-to-Head Odds:

Sea Eagles $1.53 – Tigers $2.50
