On Sunday afternoon footy fans are treated to a blockbuster battle of the big cats as the Tigers take on the Panthers at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.
This is definitely one of the top three games of the round and also one of the hardest to tip with a number of factors to consider.
Wests Tigers have recently dropped out of the top four after losing to the Rabbitohs in the upset result of Round 22 and are desperate to claw their way back before the end of the season and secure a home final game.
It was a hard game for the Tigers who gave up a good early lead so they will be looking to step up in their defence this week.
Penrith, on the other hand, have miraculously held onto their top two spot thanks to their points differential despite losing four of their past five including a loss to the Raiders last week after they also gave up an solid lead.
It was the Panthers who enjoyed victory when they last played the Tigers back in Round 7, and Penrith are yet to lose to the Tigers at Campbelltown.
Showing how tough this one is to tip is how close the odds on the two teams are. Penrith are the $1.85 favourites at Ladbrokes.com.au, but the Tigers are hot on their heels paying $1.95.
Both coming off a loss and looking to cement a spot in the top four this will be a catfight not to miss.
Penrith are given a big helping hand with the return of fullback Lachlan Coote and halfback Luke Walsh, and with these two top players back in pivotal positions they should be able to sneak in with a win.
But it hangs on whether Coote will in fact make the cut, his groin injury still causing trouble. If he holds up then so will the Panthers.
