NRL Round 24 – Match 3 Preview & Odds: Manly Sea Eagles v New Zealand Warriors

A super clash between two teams right in the race for a top eight finish is scheduled for Saturday night when the Warriors travel across the Tasman to take on the Sea Eagles at Brookvale Oval.

Ranked sixth and seventh on the NRL ladder respectively, the Warriors and Sea Eagles are both desperate to win and hang onto a spot in the September finals.

Manly suffered a big loss to the Dragons last Monday night so come into this one on a short turnaround following a thrashing which could be a problem.

New Zealand have won their past two on the trot and seven of their last nine games so are in flying form and will need to be playing their best to take on Manly at their beloved Brookie.

These two haven’t faced off since Round 4 when the Sea Eagles got the better of the Warriors, but that was before New Zealand had found that great mid-season form that has been upsetting plenty of teams.

There is plenty to look forward to in this one including the clash between Steve Matai and Manu Vatuvei and we expect a really physical and entertaining match.

At home the Sea Eagles will start the favourites and are currently paying $1.50 for a win through Ladbrokes.com.au, but at $2.60 we think the Warriors represent excellent value.

Not only have they had plenty of points in them of late, scoring 87 over the past month, but they have been far more consistent and are really set to shake things up this season.

Warriors to cause an upset with a narrow win before they have to face the Broncos then the Eels.

Footy Tip of the Match – Manu Vatuvei to be the 1st Tryscorer at $8 through Ladbrokes.com.au
