NRL Round 26 – Match 1 Betting & Odds: Gold Coast Titans v Wests Tigers

On Friday night footy fans will be treated to a top four thriller as the Titans host the second ranked Tigers at Skilled Park.

If the Gold Coast don’t come back from their shock 30 – 16 loss to the Sharks last week then this could be the last game at Skilled Park for 2010, but a win will secure their spot in the top four. currently have the Titans as a $1.50 chance of staying the top four this year and at home they are also the $1.55 favourites to beat the Tigers in the final round.

Before their hiccup in Cronulla last round, the Titans were flying high winning five on the trot and if they can find that same form they can win this.

Wests are currently sitting second on the ladder after their three straight wins including a tidy 26 – 14 victory over Melbourne last week.

Away from home the Tigers are never quite as brilliant, so it is no surprise they will start as the underdogs currently at $2.45 through

Having already secured a home game semi, the Wests Tigers will be more relaxed this week and aren’t as desperate to win so could have their guards down allowing the Gold Coast to sneak in with enough points to win.

The visitors are also on a short Sunday – Friday turnaround and also have a large list of injured players including centre Chris Lawrence who broke his jaw last week, Wade McKinnon (hamstring), Bryce Gibbs (knee) and Liam Fulton (calf), further improving the home side’s claims.

Expect the Titans to rise after last week and post a win on way to the finals, however despite the injuries the Tigers will still bring plenty as a top two finish is still in their sights.

The last time these two met back in Round 18 the game was decided by a one-point field goal and fans can expect another gritty showdown for this sell-out.
