Our Round 15 Tip for the Bulldogs to Win by 8 was the exact result paying juicy dividends for those that took our tip at bookmaker.com.au!
The two Friday night games had a big impact on the ladder positions of two of the best in the competition, one result an almost given and the other a surprise.
In Sydney the Canterbury Bulldogs continued their sneaky rise through the ranks with a good 28 – 20 win over the disastrous Dragons at WIN Stadium, which was the exact result and margin we tipped!
Up in North Queensland at Dairy Farmers one of the thrillers of the round played out with a tough Queensland Derby between the Cowboys and the Brisbane Broncos.
Both had a lot to prove with stars backing up from Origin and the big crowd that turned out for the clash wasn’t disappointed with no points scored until after a full hour of play.
In the end it was the Cowboys who broke the silence thanks to some Thurston brilliance getting Cooper over and after another 76th minute four-pointer for the home team North Queensland were able to beat the Broncos for just the third time in Townsville since their inception in 1995.
Brisbane’s loss saw them drop from second to third on the NRL Ladder, the Bulldogs moving up into second place.
Another big move on the ladder was from the South Sydney Rabbithos who are now in fourth spot after their big 24 – 6 win over the Eels on Saturday night.
The team to fall the furthest after Round 15 was then the Wests Tigers dropping from fourth to seventh, finding themselves fighting for a Top 8 spot after they loss 28 – 42 to the Roosters on Sunday arvo.
The Melbourne Storm meanwhile remain at the top of the premiership board after holding off a determined Manly Sea Eagles at Brookvale 26 – 22 in a beauty on Monday night that bought the round to an end.
