After a week off for representative footy the 2016 NRL Telstra Premiership is back from tonight for Round 10.
Upset NRL Round 10 Tip: Dragons to beat the Raiders @ $2.30 through Ladbrokes.com.au on Thursday night!
Things kick off with the Dragons hosting the Raiders at Jubilee Oval, Canberra (7th) looking to stay inside the Top 8 at the end of the round after going down a point to the Panthers in Round 9.
For Friday night footy this week we’ve got the down-and-out Eels, who play without Kieran Foran still, desperate for a win over the Bunnies at Pirtek Stadium to help boost their spirits in the wake of the salary cap scandal.
They’re favourites in betting at Ladbrokes.com.au to do so after a Round 9 win over the Bulldogs, while their opponents were defeated by the Tigers last time out.
On Saturday the action steps up a notch with a blockbuster Double Header scheduled for Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.
First on the bill are the top-ranked Cowboys playing the Melbourne Storm in a massive first-plays-third clash not to miss, the first time these two have played since last season’s preliminary final.
Then the home squad will get the crowd going with the Broncos (2nd) taking on Manly (9th) who are at some of the longest odds of the weekend to score the upset.
North Queensland defeated the Sea Eagles with ease a Brookvale Oval in Round 9, while the Broncos are looking to atone after making up points late after a horror first half against the Sharks last time out only to go down 30 – 28.
Brisbane also have to do without Adam Blair who serves a one-match suspension on the back of the ANZAC Test last week for a chicken-wing tackle on NRL teammate Sam Thaiday in a serious brain snap moment.
They’ve got the stellar Suncorp Stadium record though having won 11 of their past 14 at home and will be hard to hold out looking to regain top spot on the NRL Ladder.
The Storm meanwhile will be on a high from their Round 9 success keeping the Titans scoreless 38 – nil at the Gold Coast.
The other Saturday night Round 10 game is the Panthers up against the Warriors who have a poor record as underdogs and will be longer in betting heading into this.
Sunday has a sure win for the fourth-ranked Sharks who travel to Hunter Stadium to play this year’s worst squad the Knights, Cronulla after their seventh straight win, before the Tigers take on Canterbury.
Round 10 concludes at Cbus Super Stadium on Monday night with a dud affair between the Titans (13th) and the Roosters (15th), made slightly more interesting by the fact the Chooks looked on a massive improve with their stars back last game.
